The Pitt River Wilderness Lodge is Vancouver’s hidden retreat and British Columbia’s premier fly fishing destination for the discerning angler. Our rustic getaway sits in the isolated backcountry just northeast of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Enjoy a family getaway, or plan an executive retreat as you join some of the finest guides in the world to pursue coho, sockeye, pink, chum salmon, steelhead, coastal cutthroat, rainbow and bull trout.

No expense has been spared to ensure that this beautiful 3,000 square foot building constructed with native Douglas fir matches its special, wilderness setting and yet meets the highest standards of comfort. We like to call it rustic elegance. Here in the wilderness you will find Indian slate tiles in the entry lounge, where a bar made from river rock and old cedar waits to greet you, and in your private suite you will find a polished slate bathroom floor surrounding a sunken tub. From every window you will enjoy breathtaking views and to breath the fresh air, or listen to the cry of an eagle, you just have to step out on the wrap-around, covered decks.
The interior of The Pitt River Wilderness Lodge has an old-world nautical feel that reflects our family’s long history of working on the ocean and on the Fraser River. We hope it makes you feel at home in the wilderness.

Thanks, Lee! We had such a great time. The boys are still talking about it.
Thanks again for an amazing weekend. This was Johnny’s first sockeye. Our guide Joel never touched the rod but had to bear hug Johnny a few times to keep him standing during the fight. I had to hold tears back while taking this photo. You are all awesome.
What an awesome trip! It wasn’t more than 5 minutes after Danny dropped us off that Hugh and I were talking about our next trip to Pitt River Lodge. It feels like home at your facility and the evening meal felt like dinner with family. Our guide Richard was fantastic. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and quite the good photographer.
It was very nice to visit your lodge and fish the river – Thanks to You and Dan – and John our skilled guide, we had some awesome experiences both by the river and at the lodge by night 🙂
We had a great time. The Pitt River trip is a “must-do” for each one of us…
I hope all is well and that your last week is going smoothly. Thanks again for all your hospitality and I hope you enjoy a well-deserved break.
